Gaile NgGaile is originally from Hong Kong but came to the states for university studies. She is currently a rising senior at Wesleyan University pursuing a physical chemistry degree. At Wesleyan, she conducts research for Professor Brian Northrop and investigates the synthesis of novel organic semiconductors. For the summer, Gaile has joined the Campos group and is working with Juliana to investigate the insertion of cyclobutane mechanophores into polymer backbones as a means to achieve self-reinforcing tensile strength. Outside of lab, Gaile enjoys biking, exploring nature, art and cooking.
