Mark NashiBefore Columbia, Mark grew up in the expansive and extremely well-known city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. In high school, Mark conducted research on the synthesis and applications of gold nanoparticles, publishing his literature review in the International Journal of High School Research in 2024. Furthering his passion for chemistry and synthesis, he turned to the Campos lab to work on polymer chemistry. More specifically, he will be working on developing tanglemers (polymers that contain a higher density of entanglements in comparison to crosslinks) in order to produce stiffer networks that can deconcentrate stress. Currently, Mark is prospectively majoring in chemistry for his undergraduate studies, planning to graduate in 2028.In his free time, Mark enjoys running, listening to music, and writing poetry.
