Vratta GroverVratta grew up in Haryana, northern India, and completed her undergraduate and master’s studies at Panjab University, where she developed an interest in supramolecular chemistry and porphyrinoid systems. She later joined the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for her doctoral research with Prof. M. Ravikanth, focusing on the synthesis and studies of core- modified norroles, expanded corroles, and related porphyrinoids. Her research explored aromatic and non-aromatic macrocycles, PAH-embedded systems, and functional organic materials using spectroscopic and theoretical studies.
In 2025, Vratta joined Columbia University as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the laboratory of Prof. Luis Campos, working on developing small molecules and polymers for light-triggered spin polarization processes. Outside the lab, she enjoys dancing and watching web series. e-mail: vg2664[at]columbia.edu Bluesky |
