Xiangyin ZhaoXiangyin was born in China but spent most of his formal years in Delaware, where he self-identified as a Delawarean. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry from UCLA and worked on the synthesis of coacervate-forming polypeptides in Prof. Tim Deming’s lab. Developing an appetite for polymeric materials, he decided to pursue a PhD in the Campos group, working on introducing novel functional units into polymer networks. Outside the lab, he enjoys drawing, painting, and exploring great New York City restaurant scenes.
