Rinat Meir, Fulbright Fellow
Rinat received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where her research focused on computational quantum chemistry under the supervision of Prof Sason Shaik. After several years of academic teaching, Rinat pursued her PhD at the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University. Her doctoral studies in the lab of Prof Rachela Popovtzer focused on the design of novel nanotechnology-based materials for early diagnosis of disease and targeted drug delivery.
After being awarded the Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship, Rinat relocated with her family from Israel to NYC, where she is working on the development of photon upconversion biomaterials.
