Elango KumarasamyElango obtained his bachelors and masters degree in chemistry form St. Joseph's College (2004) and Madras Christian College (2006), India respectively. After a short stint in a pharmaceutical company, he moved to North Dakota State University in 2010 for his doctoral studies. His research focused on stereospecific phototransformations of axially chiral chromophores, under the mentorship of Prof. Sivaguru Jayaraman. After his PhD in 2014, he moved to Columbia University to join Prof. Luis Campos where his research will explore singlet fission in small organic molecules and polymeric materials.
