Molecular and Macromolecular SystemsRobust, Efficient, and Orthogonal Transformations play an important role in the development of functional systems. By exploiting various chemical reactions, control of precise molecular architectures can be accomplished in molecules and macromolecules to tune physical properties. Thus, our group develops toolkits to synthesize materials that demand specific physical, mechanical, and chemical properties. The specific areas that we are targeting are singlet-fission capable materials that can generate triplet pairs from a single photon and polyelectrolytes that can be used in ion conducting membranes for batteries and fuel cells.
