Shixuan WeiShixuan was born and raised in China. He received his B.Sc. in chemistry from Nanjing University, where he ate many roast ducks and spent his time developing molecular probes for biological imaging with Prof. Deju Ye. After a research internship at Columbia University, he decided to return to pursue a Ph.D. degree. Thankfully, the snow boots he bought in New York will not go to waste. In the Campos group, his research interests are rooted in the development of organic multiexciton systems, such as singlet fission and upconversion. In his free time, he enjoys reading detective fiction and watching cooking videos. He once tried to imitate the videos to make food, but let's just say that he is much better in a hood than in the kitchen. For now, he continues to watch the videos, with hopes that New York can give him not only the inspiration for research but also the inspiration for cooking.
