Spencer BrucksSpencer was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, home of the chicken wing, and the most depressed fan base in professional sports. For undergrad, he traveled to Cornell in centrally isolated Ithaca, NY. He majored in chemistry and biology, and was fortunate to gain his first research experience in the laboratory of Prof. William Dichtel, where he developed a love of chemical synthesis and dance music. Spencer has continued his southeasterly trek across the Empire state coming to Columbia for his Chemistry PhD. He is looking forward to integrating his polymer science background with biological systems, and celebrating the first Bills or Sabres championship.
